About Kirsten Solberg

With a lifelong love of art, science, and exploring wild places, pursuing architecture was the perfect blend of Kirsten’s varied interests. Her diverse background informs her approach, offering thoughtful and distinctive design solutions tailored to meet clients' specific needs.

Since graduating from Virginia Tech’s Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) program, Kirsten’s professional career has spanned residential, commercial, medical and public projects, across the US. She has lived in Oregon since 1998 and founded Sun and Mountain Architecture in 2022. Her professional focus includes sustainable and green architecture, building science, resiliency, and historic preservation.

Beyond professional pursuits, Kirsten was appointed to the West Linn Historic Review Board in 2023, is Oregon Safety Assessment Program certified (OrSAP) for post-disaster building surveys and a member of the Rotary Club. Previously she has volunteered with Architects in Schools, Friends of Trees, 1000 Friends of New Mexico, the New Mexico Solar Energy Association, educational and get out the vote initiatives.

Kirsten's goal is to infuse excitement and enjoyment into the design process, ensuring clients not only receive exceptional design solutions but also relish the experience of bringing their visions to life.
